What Insurance is included when I book with Clarify
We ensure that the following insurance is included when you book a car with Clarify. We then offer a range of optional products so you can further protect yourself if you wish. We do not package in the extra insurance as many now have their own cover through standalone excess insurance and therefore to do so would increase costs for everyone unnecessarily.
Third Party Insurance - covering damage to other cars, property or people.
Theft Protection (can be subject to an Excess) - covers you if your rental car is stolen,
Collision Damage Waiver (can be subject to an Excess) - covers the car you are hiring, but excludes certain damage, such as windscreen, glass, tyres, wheels, underbody and roof. Some companies vary their cover so do look at the terms of the specific car you are considering.
Please note that in line with all insurance policies there are exclusions such as negligence or operating the car outside the terms of the car rental contract. In such case you would not be covered by insurance.
You then have the option of buying additional insurance products from either the car hire company, through us at Clarify, or through independent insurers.
We detail below the pros and cons of each product.
