Unless the Premium Package is taken a Visa, Mastercard Credit Card or AMEX is mandatory. The main driver must have a Card in their own name when collecting the vehicle. This card must have sufficient available credit to cover the excess / deposit amount (which will be pre-authorised on the Card throughout the hire period) which can take up to 30 days to be returned depending on the issuing bank of the card. Any local charges, extras or other equipment or services purchased at the car hire desk will also be charged to the card.
If the Premium Package is taken, you can use a Visa, Maestro or Mastercard debit card - you will be asked to leave details of your card on pickup. Please note, this deposit may take up to thirty (30) days to be returned to your debit card depending on the issuing bank of the card and neither OK Mobility nor Clarify Car Hire take any responsibility if the amount returned is not the same as the amount taken due to exchange rate fluctuations and/or bank charges. The card must be in the main driver's name. Any local charges, extras or other equipment or services purchased at the car hire desk will also be charged to the card.
Please note that payment for the rental or deposit via a mobile wallet such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay etc. will not be accepted at the hire desk. The lead driver must present a physical payment card in their name.
For groups PFAC PDAH, PFAR, XFAR & PQAR, a credit card is mandatory.
The cardholder must be present when the rental agreement is signed. The contract holder has to be the main driver. Only one card is permitted per rental agreement and must show the cardholder's name. The holder must know the card's PIN number and provide cc number and expiration date if requested. Payment card must be in physical format.
The payer must ensure that the bank card has sufficient funds at the time of picking up the vehicle to pay for the rental with all the selected options, and, where applicable, to block or charge the pre-authorization amount corresponding to the group of the rented vehicle.
When a debit card is presented the pre-authorisation is charged and not blocked, due to the impossibility of blocking charges into a debit card.
Depending on the bank, especially if you have used a debit card for the security deposit, the pre-authorisation amount can take up to a maximum of 30 calendar days after the date of completion of the rental contract to appear on the banking card statement of the holder of the contract. This is due to the international banking systems not due to delays by either the car rental company or Clarify Car Hire. Record Go Rent a Car or Clarify Car Hire are not responsible for possible banking charges when reimbursing the excess or any other outstanding amount in favour of the client after the final settlement (difference between the amount paid and the amount refunded).
All refunds (unused fuel, deposit…etc.) are made in Euro even if the customer was originally charged in a different currency on collection. No claims can be made regarding possible loss due to exchange rate fluctuations etc.
Please note that payment for the rental or deposit via a mobile wallet such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay etc. will not be accepted at the hire desk. The lead driver must present a physical payment card in their name.
All cards presented must be in the renter’s name. A security deposit plus the estimated cost of the rental will be taken at the time of rental.
Cash payments may be allowed but the deposit must be paid via debit or credit card and the deposit will be a minimum of 500 EUR. Please contact the local branch for details.
Please be aware that if you use your debit card for the security deposit and/or the fuel deposit it can take up to 30 days for this to reach your account once it has been refunded by the car hire supplier at the end of the rental. This is due to international banking systems not due to delays by either the car rental company or Clarify Car Hire.

Centauro accept debit cards with their standard package. Please be aware that if you intend on using a debit card, the full deposit amount will be charged to your debit card. On the return of the vehicle, Centauro will refund the deposit if there is no damage to the vehicle, however, this amount can take up to 30 days to get back into your account. In addition, you may not receive the same amount back in GBP as was left as the deposit, this is due to exchange rate fluctuations and bank charges. Centauro and Clarify Car Hire take no responsibility if the amount returned is less than was debited at the beginning of the rental.
(Due to fluctuations in the rate of exchange and other bank charges, Centauro will not be responsible for any difference between the rate charged and on any refunds made).
For groups S2 -S2A - S3 - S3A, two credit cards will be required to be presented at the desk as a guarantee to collect the vehicle.

The main driver needs to provide a card under their name to pick up the car. Failure to comply with the mandatory requirements to rent will result in the cancellation of the reservation at the desk, with no refund due.
A deposit amount in the form of a pre-authorisation on a credit is required for the excess amount of the vehicle.
Accepted for the pre-authorisation deposit are Credit cards (Visa/Mastercard), Debit cards (Visa/Mastercard), American Express, Maestro, Dinners, Cash, Non-embossed cards, Prepaid cards, Chinese Union pay credit cards + JCB. Electron cards are not accepted.
If the driver is unable to provide sufficient means for a pre-authorisation deposit, then the purchase of additional insurance may be mandatory to reduce the excess on the vehicle to zero. If the excess is not reduced to zero, a pre-authorisation deposit will be required for the reduced excess amount.
The pre-authorised deposit will be blocked for the duration of the hire and automatically released at the end of it.
Depending on the chosen bank, customers may experience a delay in seeing the pre-authorised funds show as cleared.

American Express, Diners, Cash, Prepaid Cards or Electronic Use Cards are not accepted for either deposit or final payment.
Debit cards will only be accepted for final payment - not accepted for the deposit.
The accepted cards listed above must be in the main driver’s name, have sufficient funds to cover the excess liability, and have an expiration date at least 2 months beyond the return date of the rental. All cards must have both the card number and expiry date clearly visible; cards without these details cannot be accepted. If a valid card is not provided, the booking may be cancelled, and no refund will be issued for any prepaid amount.
In the event that the original booking was paid for utilising a third party credit or debit card, hirers may be required to present details, permissions and authorisation relating to the transaction. Failure to provide the information requested may result in the hire being refused.
